REVIEW: Girl Desecrated: Vampires, Asylums and Highlanders 1984 by Cheryl R. Cowtan

Haunted by an abusive past, 18-year-old Rachel is emotionally damaged. Worse, her mind has split, giving birth to Scarlett, a seductive alternate personality who does sinful things. When Scarlett slips out to play, people disappear. Rachel’s psychiatrist prescribes meds. Her mother wants an exorcism. Rachel just wants to be normal.

A steamy encounter with sexy Highlander, Angus McNab, leads Rachel to believe life will finally be kind. Angus doesn't mind Rachel's 'crazy'. But when Scarlett's perverted desires demand a piece of the Scottish Bull, Rachel must fight for the right to be loved.

Soon, Rachel is fighting for her life, as she unravels the sinister truth of Scarlett to reveal an ancient curse, unforgivable betrayals, and a forgotten heritage. In this menacing reality, Rachel learns there are worse things than madness, and if she can’t put Scarlett down, "normal" is something she will never be.

If you like your decade to rock, your demons to bite, and your girls to kick it, then you are going to love this unforgettable story of Rachel as she faces off against The Fergus She.

Buy this book, now, and then hang on! You're about to take a wild ride.

The cover is what caught my eye with this book and boy am i sure glad it did. This was a wonderful unexpected find. Full of dark paranormal mystery, intrigue and a unique love story to boot.

Rachel is a long line of women whose DNA carries a fiend a demon a vampire whatever you want to call it. But she only get loose on the world every third generation and when the human woman meets a certain man that his family is cursed to couple with her.

Angus oh man what a sexy beast he is. Tall, gorgeous, muscled and with an amazing Scottish accent to boot. But he has a secret that is dangerous to Rachel. Hes keeping things he knows about her and their destiny to himself and its manipulating and bad. Im not really sure how I feel about him because of that.

Lennox is honest and tries to help Rachel but it doesn't end well for him and I am honestly sad about that.

This is an amazing story, full of twists and turns and unexpected suprizes for all the characters. There are gaps in the story that I hope are just a teaser for the next book about Rachel and I cannot wait to read.
