REVIEW: Shifter's Storm By Vonna Harper

"She needs their courage and their bodies. The feeling is mutual "

Law enforcement warnings be damned, nothing will stop Rane from returning to the Chinook Mountains to discover who murdered her mother, a fellow forest ranger. Except maybe the fact that her elk shifter lover, Songan, is in the middle of rut season.

The delay is just long enough for a newcomer from the far north, Ber, to enter the picture. A massive grizzly shifter with his own need for Rane. His dark, brooding presence feeds dreams so erotic, she feels like she s losing her mind. Yet keeping him at arm s length isn t an option. She needs his heightened senses, along with Songan s, to follow the cold trail of her mother s final hours.

With winter closing in, the threesome heads for the mountains, where, in a cramped cabin, their mutual lust explodes. But the mountains can't shield them from deadly danger.

Warning: Menage with complications. Shape-shifting with complications. Outdoor sex, cabin sex, dream sex with ropes. Woman on a mission, and men with muscles upon muscles answering the call of the wild. "

This was quite a different novel and point of view on a shifter romance.  Definitely a wonderful novel to read a must read if you enjoy shifter romance books.

Bear the grizzly shifter is by far my favorite of him and the elk shifter. I just love bear his attitude and need is a wonderful combination.

I have a hard time with Sonogan because of how he treats Rane.

Rane is a feisty vicious woman that is determined and a great mix for these two shifters and the fact they have to share her makes me chuckle and laugh because of how dominant and demanding they both are.

This author definitely has serious potential in her writing.

Under her "real" name, Vonna Harper has published more fiction than she can keep track of . These include category romances for the major players as well as the 'juicy' stuff. She also penned a series of well-received Native American historicals. One earned her finalist status in both the Women Writing the West Willa award and Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association. Before discovering romances, both erotic and otherwise, Vonna 'confessed' all kinds of nonsense for the confession magazines.

When asked about erotica research, she insists, "Of course I've time-traveled to the ancient Everglades, infiltrated bondage strongholds, done wilderness search and rescue, and spent a night trapped in a workout gym with Mr. Universe. How can I possibly write about something I haven't experienced?"

As for day jobs, "I've been a commercial pilot, brain surgeon, worked as a white-water river guide, bee keeper, snake charmer, and garbage collector."
