When Colin MacLeod's undying love for Torra is discovered, he's given an ultimatum. Watch his lass die a brutal death or defect from his clan to lead the Hamilton armies. Four winters later and in charge of Keir's warriors, Colin battles in an ongoing war against the MacLomains. Yet now the worst has come to pass. His ill-found chieftain has finally trapped Torra.
In a castle siege unlike any other and because of time travel, the modern day Brouns and medieval MacLomains join together in a final stand-off against their merciless enemy. Battles rage. Mysteries are revealed. Freedom is found. But most importantly, a love long repressed at last rises up determined to conquer all in Plight of the Highlander.
Available Now- Mark of the Highlander (Book 1), Vow of the Highlander (Book 2), Wrath of the Highlander (Book 3), Faith of the Highlander (Book 4) and the final in the series, Plight of the Highlander (Book 5). I couldn't put it down until I finished the last page but don't take my word for it, you really need to read these books. If you have the slightest interest in time travel, Scotland or magic you will be pulled into this story hook, line and sinker.
Purington has done a wonderful job bringing this story to life. I found it hard to put down and it made me wish for my own Highland Laird to come and sweep me off my feet and into a time where I could be loved for who I am.
She made me laugh, she made my cry, time and time again. Even as I sit here writing this I have tears in my eyes remembering all they went through to be together.
We got to spend more time with Iosbail in this book and isn't she fun, but Leslie was a surprise. I loved her even more in this story than in her own. She's grown into her magic and Bradon's love has brought out the playfulness she had buried deep inside, one of my favorite quotes came from her.
My heart hurt for Torra, for all the pain and loneliness she experienced in her life even before Keir turned his evil thoughts towards her. Betrayed by someone close to her, she never stopped thinking of her family and those she loved, everything she did was for them.
For me Grant and Torra are the Adlin and Iosbail for the generations to come. I hope we get to spend more time with them and all the rest of the MacLomain, MacLeod and Hamilton clans in the future.
The main characters are so true to what I believe that time was is great. Magic, brawn sword bearing men, good an bad with good overcome evil may take time but things take time with hope friends an someone to believe in you can right the wrongs. Great story looking forward to the next adventure for the highlander.
5 Stars all the way...

Wow, Sky, this was a powerhouse of a review for this story and all of your stories! I have a lot of catching up to do, I can tell. Taking care of an ill hubby only allows my reading in fits and starts and I often lose track of what I've read, so I usually read short novellas. But I'm gonna have to change that because I miss these stories about Highland time travelling! Can't meet better heroes than Highlanders and their adventures are to live for. :-) Thanks for the post. jdh2690@gmail.com
