After her family's megalithic pet store chain goes under, Grace Silva's plush life in L.A. is turned upside down. Without her trusty posse and plentiful opportunities to party, Grace finds herself at a loss living with her aunt and uncle. Crystal Brook is cozy. It's friendly. It's peaceful... And Grace hates it.

The only good thing the town has going for it is the hot and rumored wealthy hunk living down the street. Seeing a possible way out of her fall into the 'common life' (as her friends deem it), Grace does everything she can to catch Luke Howard's eye, but not even her trustiest tricks seem to work. Scrambling to find an avenue, she begins volunteering at the local food pantry where Luke spends much of his time. Forced to come face to face with the kind of circumstances she's never even imagined, Grace begins to see that the seemingly impossible task of getting the guy is just the beginning of her long journey towards something better.

Such a perplexing novel. I really enjoyed watching the transformation that Grace goes through from pampered spoiled Princess to sweet caring loving woman.I never though she would be the woman for Luke. At first I thought she was going to use and abuse him til she got her life back.

What sh goes through with her friend and her ex. Just everything. Its quite an amazing book. A great book for anybody going through life changes and having a struggle.

Luke is so self conscious even though he is gorgous, yummy, intelligent, smart, funny.

I love how this author ended the book. I cant wait for more from this author. 

This book made me full on cry at certain emotional parts with Grace and Luke.

What an intriguing different book to read. I absolutely couldn't put this book down i read it in one night. This novel is full of playful warlike boy vs girl scenarios. Silly and immature but fun and hilarious.

Sidney oh sweet strong willed Sidney. After having her heart broken to bits years and years before she is stuck for the weekend with her crazy family and the guy that tore her world apart ten years before.

Simon oh sexy gorgeous alluring Simon what can you say. He is quite the sneaky trickster devil for sure. For most of the book i thought he was a creeper that watched her and stalked her.

Full of mystery and intrigue in a family/friend setting.

Grams has got to be one of the most hilarious feisty old ladies she is by far my favorite of the characters.

What a fascinating novel. A mixture of fantasy in the fae world and sexual mating.

It was a slow moving novella at first but the author delved into what Tessa's life was like before and how she felt about her depressing situation, which i very much enjoyed knowing the beforehand about her character.

I really assumed that the dark fae the book is about had to be Tessa but once you start reading you realize that it is actually Nyx the dark prince.

Tessa is such an emotional yet complex character that knows exactly what she wants and doesnt settle for anything else.

Nyx is plagued by his own dark self. Scared to death he is going to end up killing his mate. His situation is so complex and complicated. He tortures himself with worrying.

Such a beautifully amazing novella. This author is  a fav new author of mine for sure.

5 stars all the way.
