REVIEW: David's Song By A. R. Talley

Annie only ever loved two men in her life. One broke her heart, the other married her. Four children and fifteen years later, Annie’s marriage is in trouble. Money is tight, arguments are plenty. Her husband questions the very foundation of their relationship. At his insistence, Annie takes off on a girl’s retreat in Las Vegas—a week to unwind and relieve stress. He hopes the old adage, “absence makes the heart grow fonder” will apply. But Las Vegas has its own challenges. Annie meets up with the young man who broke her heart—a man who is now a music megastar. Torn between long ago memories and a family she loves, Annie must decide which is of greater value—A second chance at lost love and unfulfilled dreams? Or commitment, trust, and love built on years of experience? David’s Song may be the deciding factor.

Oh my lordy this is one powerful novel that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This author writes these characters so strongly that you get attached and their emotions take you over. I kept crying all throughout this emotional book.

I just loved it.

Annie what a lovely character. So much like myself in her demeaner and personality and this she goes through with family, men and her work. I could definitely relate to her character.

David oh David. This is one of those guys you want to hate but hes so frigging charming you really cannot hate him. I really do love his charismatic creative character and I would go back and forth with if I wanted them to get together or not.

The amazing Jeremy. He is essentially a perfect man. The boy next door. Sweet kind loving patient smart not pushy or mean or hurtful. I so wanted to be mad at him at the end of this book for hurting Annie but at the same time I wanted them to get their happily ever after. But god I love Jeremy he is the nice guy you want to get the girl. Hes the guy every girl should fall for.

This is one strong love story that takes you back to what happened to Annie in her past back in college and brings you to a future that you arnt sure what or who she will end up with.

Love love love it. I cant wait to read more from this complelling author. Truly amazing.

5 stars
