REVIEW: Lake Town (A Solstice Novel, Book 2) By Jane Redd

Jezebel James is on the run after her true abilities are discovered by the Legislature, and the only one who can protect her is Sol. In order to survive, Sol sends her into an underground hideout where she quickly discovers all that she thought was true in her dying world is false. Jez reunites with Rueben and his band of insurgents, and together they escape to Lake Town, only to find that the entire island is preparing to invade the City.

But Sol has been left behind and forced to join the ranks of the Faction, who are working against the Legislature from within. As Jez works with the insurgents and their plan to destroy the City, she learns that attacking the City might save thousands of lives, but it will destroy Sol, the man she knows she can’t live without.

After Reading the first book in this series I have to say this one take you on a full on adventure into a world unlike ours while you read this. These authors pull you into a world of confusion and conformity where there are people trying to break the hold the Legislature has on everyone.

Jez or Jezebel is one amazing character. She is very confused and unsure of what to do or who to trust after escaping prison for simply reading her grandmother's journal. But she absolutely blossoms throughout this book and what she has to deal with and go through. She struggles with what will happen to the boy she loves Sol with the actions she has to take to save everyone.

Sol what an adorable sexy strong courageous man that is trying to do what is right but suffering because of not being with Jez. It is just a struggle for him just trying to keep the woman he loves safe but not being able to be with her and know for sure she is safe.

These two authors are an amazing combination, they create this amazing world and each and every character draws you into it.
