REVIEW: Ready For His Rule--A WILD Boys Novel (The WILD Boys of Special Forces Book 10) by Angel Payne

       Synopsis

Captain John Franzen. Inside the lines... It's the definition of life for Tracy Rhodes, and she has no choice about that. Lines--lots of them--are what happens when one is sworn in as second-in-command of the free world. But the lines are crushed beneath the boots of Captain John Franzen, assigned as a special advisor to her security team for a high-profile event in Vegas. The towering warrior with the haunted stare shatters her composure, invades her libido, and makes her yearn for things she shouldn't. Sweaty, illicit things...with her body pinned beneath his... Outside the boundaries... John Franzen, six and a half feet of rigid composure on the outside, is a lost man on the inside. Why the hell is he even alive? A guy isn't supposed to survive eleven years in Special Forces, especially after the crazy missions he's been assigned. Accepting the security gig in Vegas is just a favor to a friend--a way to fill time that's become too damn empty lately. Until the cushy "babysitting job" becomes the most treacherous mission of his life--and the politician he's protecting becomes the woman in his bed. The lover beneath his bonds... The submissive he longs to claim forever. Breaking all the rules... She's destined for marble halls and an oval office. He's wired for dirt and violence. Will her passion be enough to tame his demons...to claim the ultimate wild boy as her own?

This was an intriguing book. It added the bdsm lifestyle dynamic to a real life situation with secret service and the vice president and her son and an attack on them where they have to go into  hiding and seclusion until the guilty parties are found.

It is quite the plot to have going in a book and then you add the sexy naughty bdsm part to it.

The Captain is definitely a very sexy alluring man. One you can easily drool over.

I would be very curious to read the other in this series. As this is 10 in the series I think. It would be interesting to see how the other stories in this series play out.

AboutTheAuthor
USA Today bestselling romance author Angel Payne has been reading and writing her entire life, though her love for romances began in junior high, when writing with friends on "swap stories" they'd trade between classes. Needless to say, those stories involved lots of angst, groping, drama, and gooey kissing. She began getting a paycheck for her writing in her twenties, writing record reviews for a Beverly Hills-based dance music magazine. Some years, various entertainment industry gigs, and a number of years in the hospitality industry later, Angel returned to the thing she loves the most: creating character-based romantic fiction. Along the way, she also graduated with two degrees from Chapman University in Southern California, taking departmental honors for English, before writing five historical romances for Kensington and Bantam/Doubleday/Dell. Angel found a true home in writing contemporary-based romances that feature high heat and high concepts, focusing on memorable alpha men and the women who tame them. She has numerous book series to her credit, including the Kinky Truth series, the Secrets of Stone series (with Victoria Blue), the W.I.L.D. Boys of Special Forces series, and the acclaimed Cimarron series. Temptation Court, a new series being launched through the Dark Nights Discovery project, debuts in 2016. Angel still lives in Southern California, where she is married to her soul mate and lives on a street that looks like Brigadoon, with their awesome daughter and Lady Claire, the dog with impeccable manners. When not writing, she enjoys reading, pop culture, alt rock, cute shoes, enjoying the outdoors, and being a gym rat.

 Elizabeth Johns

National bestselling author Elizabeth Johns was first an avid reader, though she was a reluctant convert. It was Jane Austen's clever wit and unique turn of phrase that hooked Johns when she was "forced" to read Pride and Prejudice for a school assignment. She began writing when she ran out of her favorite author's books and decided to try her hand at crafting a Regency romance novel. Her journey into publishing began with the release of Surrender the Past, book one of the Loring-Abbott Series. Johns makes no pretensions to Austen's wit but hopes readers will perhaps laugh and find some enjoyment in her writing.

Johns attributes much of her inspiration to her mother, a retired English teacher. During their last summer together, Johns would sit on the porch swing and read her stories to her mother, who encouraged her to continue writing. Busy with multiple careers, including a professional job in the medical field, author and mother of small children, Johns squeezes in time for reading whenever possible.

 Heather B. Moore

Heather B. Moore is a USA Today bestselling author of more than a dozen historical novels and thrillers, written under pen name H.B. Moore. She writes women's fiction, romance and inspirational non-fiction under Heather B. Moore. This can all be confusing, so her kids just call her Mom. Heather attended Cairo American College in Egypt, the Anglican School of Jerusalem in Israel, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Utah.

Rebecca Connolly
Rebecca Connolly writes romances, both period and contemporary, because she absolutely loves a good love story. She has been creating stories since childhood, and there are home videos to prove it! She started writing them down in elementary school and has never looked back. She currently lives in Minnesota, spends every spare moment away from her day job absorbed in her writing, and is a hot cocoa addict.

REVIEW:The Rise of Miss Notley (Tanglewood Volume 2) by Rachel Anderson

When Miss Coralynn Notley's father barters her off to the first

titled gentleman to come along, she realizes she must flee her

home or be forced to wed a despicable man. Driven by

desperation, she applies for the position of housekeeper at

Tanglewood Manor, the home of the handsome Mr. Jonathan Ludlow.
The moment Jonathan sees Miss Notley, he is intrigued. She

is far too young and inexperienced, yet there is something about

her that that inspires a certain hope within him. Does he dare

offer her the position of housekeeper or will doing so result in

catastrophe?
I am a big fan of Rachael Anderson ever since i read The Fall Of

Lord Drayson. I was utterly mesmerized by her writing. I just

love any books she does.

This did not disapont at all. The irony of her applying for a

job to escape being given to a man she doesnt know or love where

she attracts the Lord of the manner is beyond funny.

THe little humor here and there is this time era just cracks me

up and is one of the reason I adore Rachel's writing.

This was a sweet, fun, easy read. I really enjoyed it. The

characters had enough depth and personality to make them very

endearing. I am so sad that the 3rd book in the series isn't

released yet.

Amazing characters in this novel and I am suprized that I really

really like Jonathan usually I find a link to the female

characters but I really enjoyed his character.

A USA Today bestselling author, Rachael Anderson is the mother

of four and is pretty good at breaking up fights, or at least

sending guilty parties to their rooms. She can't sing, doesn't

dance, and despises tragedies. But she recently figured out how

yeast works and can now make homemade bread, which she is really

good at eating. You can read more about her and her books online

REVIEW: The Magician's Workshop (Volume 1 and 2 ) By Hansen Fehr

Everyone in the islands of O’Ceea has a magical ability:

whatever they imagine can be brought into existence. Whoever

becomes a master over these powers is granted the title of

magician and is given fame, power, riches, and glory. This

volume of books follows the journey of a group of kids as they

strive to rise to the top and become members of the Magician’s

Workshop.

Layauna desperately wants to create beautiful things with her

magical powers, but all she can seem to do is make horrible,

savage monsters. For years she has tried to hide her creations,

but when her power is at last discovered by a great magician,

she realizes that what she’s tried to hide might actually be of

tremendous value.

Kai just wants to use his powers to have fun and play with his

friends. Unfortunately, nearly everyone on his island sees him

as a bad influence, so he’s forced to meet them in secret. When

one of the creatures they create gets out of control and starts

flinging fireballs at their town, Kai is tempted to believe that

he is as nefarious as people say. However, his prospects change

when two mysterious visitors arrive, praising his ability and

making extraordinary promises about his future.

Follow the adventures of Kai, Layauna, and a boatload of other

characters as they struggle to grow up well in this fantastical

world.

The Magician's Workshop dumps you straight into a pile of

characters living in their crazy island world where everyone can

work magic. And as the characters go about life projecting magic

images, flavors and smells, the authors slowly start to

introduce some of the difficulties that come in such a

fantastical world. What do you think? Would you bother eating

real fruit if you could eat something that tasted like fruit

instead?

This is such a wonderful book for adults and young adults alike.

Even if you are a fully mature adult you will read this and love

this novel. I was so excited to move onto book two after

finishing this.

Book two

In Volume Two, the Festival of Stars has finally arrived, and

the Color Ceremony is about to commence. As children from all

over the islands gather to stand before a puller, one question

remains: who will have a Color, and who will be found void?

Rejoin your favorite characters as they step forward and receive

a label that will have the power to dramatically alter the

course of their lives forever.

Book Two definitely does not disappoint at all. It continues with

old characters but expands on the magical realm we are reading

about. Beautifully well written.

showed their characters with universal feelings common in us

all. I could relate to situations and difficulties these

characters were experiencing even though their characters were

living in a land and time of magic and projections. Going to

such a special place and being part of these lives "magically"

gives us insight into lives so different than ours....yet inside

each individual are the same feelings as young people today

feel. As I felt in Volume I, a wonderful reading experience to

be read not only alone but to share with others.

The Master Magician turns up with words of encouragement along

the lines of color, no color, it doesn't matter, but to accept

all anyway. This comes across as a surprise and a rather new

concept to everyone who think that the ultimate goal is to be

found with color and then to train to get into the magician's

workshop. No-one seems to know or understand the hardships that

it entails or even those that follow this kind of dream.

Now that everyone has found out their place (it feels harsh to

write it this way, but I cannot think of another way of

articulating this), it's time to move further, to train, to find

new goals and to deal with the next stage of life. The authors

slowly emphasize the importance of two characters, Kai and

Layauna, and the story slowly shifts focus with more of the

later chapters written from their points of view. Coming out

with the kind of colors they have, it will give us a sense that

the tests that life will throw at these two will be harder and

that they will need all the help and support from their friends

and family.

I absolutely adore this author and I cannot wait to read more

from him.

The first glimmering Chris Hansen had that there was far more to

reality than he had ever imagined occurred six days after his

ninth birthday.
“Christopher!” cried a wise, old sage. “Life is full of deep

magic. Miraculous things happen all the time and all around us,

if you know where to look for them.”
Full of expectation and childlike optimism, Chris began

searching for this magic, prepared to be surprised and amazed by

it. And he was: he found Wonder! Now he’s chosen to write

stories about it.
