REVIEW: Thizz,a Love Story By Nicole Loufas

In 2006, while the San Francisco Bay Area was immersed in the

Hyphy Movement – Dani was fleeing the city for the small

coastal town of Eureka. With a past she wants to forget and a

future that may be out of reach – Dani finds Thizz and her

world turns inside out.

Matt fell in love with Dani the first time he saw her. He

also knew whatever drove her from San Francisco to Eureka in

her last semester of high school wasn’t something she wanted

to share. When she finally started to open up, Matt hesitated

just long enough for his best friend Nick to swoop in. Forced

to sit and watch their relationship grow, Matt also learns of

Dani’s obsession with Thizz. He secretly feeds her addiction

in a desperate attempt to win her heart.

When a school project uncovers a disturbing link between

Dani’s parents and Nick’s uncle, Matt is torn between his

loyalty to Nick and his feelings for Dani as he tries to

convince Dani that her life is in real danger; while

persuading Nick to turn on his uncle to save the girl they

love.

Oh my! The first thing I have to say is I so thought this was

something different than it was. I thought it was gonna be

some love triangle. It was so was not just some teenage love

story. Gangster types, drug dealers, murders, and love all

wrapped into one.

If you like action and love intrigue this is definitely the

book for you.

I quickly became enthralled with this novel. Whipped through

it cause i was so ADDICTED within 5 days.A must read for

anybody but especially a young teenager struggling with

life.Absolutely amazing!!!

Dani is a troubled teenager with a rough horrible past that

she deals with everyday. Matt makes her life a little easier

adding laughter and fun in class to it.

Matt is the sweet hearted yet naughty best friend that is

always there for Dani no matter what. He protects her from

everyone but herself.

But then Nick oh my what a charmer, who doesnt love Nick.A

gorgous rich boy who shares so many things with Dani.

But I wont lie i root for Matt through the entire novel.

Waiting for Dani to dump Nick and tell Matt she is madly in

love with him.

Without a doubt one of the best young adult novels i have

read.

5 stars

Nicole was born and raised in California. She claims to be a

San Francisco native, however she's lived in both Northern

and Southern California. She credits her creativity to the

fact that she attended 12 schools between kindergarten and

her senior year in high school. Her nomadic childhood allowed

her to reinvent herself often. Some might say she was, how do

you say it, a liar. While others see the stories she told as

a coping mechanism. Twelve schools, in six cities, in twelve

years - give her a break. Today she channels her storytelling

ability into writing novels. Long story short - kids that lie

become writers.
